About Inspiration

We've loved every minute of our "inspirational" journey

Our Mission

Inspiration Performing Troupe is a traveling performing arts troupe based out of Norfolk Massachusetts, started by Emily Garven in December of 2009. The mission of the group is to use the talents of local children to give back to the community and to give them a professional and exciting performing experience close to home. They are taught skills that help them in their singing, dancing, and acting careers as well as given an opportunity to "inspire" others with their talents and love of performing.

Our Show

Our show is 60 minutes long and consists of all sorts of musical genres including Pop, Broadway, and Classic Rock. Solos, duets, group numbers and all cast numbers are all a part of our high energy, high talent show! Each season Inspiration has a "travel performance." Past seasons have included NYC, Cape Cod, Disney World, Universal Studios, and Norwegian Cruise Lines! Inspiration will be traveling to Virginia to perform in the 2018 season! Our Cast

Our cast consists of boys and girls ages 14-20 from all over Massachusetts and Rhode Island. We have had over 85 kids come through the program since 2009 and hope to continue to keep getting new faces every season. All cast members are handpicked through an audition process; chosen for exemplary skills in singing, dancing, and acting.

"Inspiration JR."

"Inspiration JR" is a younger version of Inspiration started in the spring of 2017! This troupe is geared for children ages 10-13 who would like to learn more about theater and performing. In this group they will be taught basic theater terminology and skills to improve their acting, singing, and dancing. They will also learn audition techniques, play theater and improv games, and learn and perfect a 30 minute show to open up for "Inspiration Performing Troupe's" local shows. To inquire information about this program please go to the "Auditions" page!

Giving Back

We aim to instill strong values in our performers. Inspiration participates in many community events and community service projects. We have performed at many fundraisers, memorial services, and funerals. Every season we perform at nursing homes and hospitals. We take every opportunity we can to give back to the community who have helped us get to where we are today.

Disney World, Canobie Lake Park, Faneuil Hall, TD Garden, Fenway Park, NYC, Boston Children's Hospital, Stadium Theatre Performing Arts Center, Universal Studios, Cape Cod, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Marilyn Rodman Performing Arts Center, Hyannis, Cape Cod, community events, summer camps, and more! Musicals 

New for 2018 season, Inspiration Performing Arts Company will be producing it's first summer stock musical! The musical will be an intensive program open for ages 16 through adults! Anyone can audition to be a part of this exciting experience! This year's musical will be "Heathers the Musical" running August 11th and 12th at the Marilyn Rodman Performing Arts Center in Foxboro, Ma. Auditions will take place on June 10th and more information can be found on our "Auditions" page!
